Bio
Andy Maggs
Andy maggs is an experienced bass player who learned his craft playing in the Bristol funk scene in the early 90's before joining popular Bristol combo K-Passa. A chance meeting with former Robert Plant guitarist Innes Sibun lead to many years of touring in UK, Europe and USA, followed by stints in JEBO and Littlemen, as well as Dep gigs with touring artists such as Keegan McInroe (USA) and David Celia (Canada).
Having become aware that he had missed out on some big tours, due to not doing backing vocals, Andy employed the services of legendary vocal coach Ruth Royally, who convinced him that a singing career was not beyond his abilities. During the pandemic Andy began writing his own material and honing his voice, leading to the recording of his initial release ' Concrete and Steel.
Andy continues to play bass with Indy Americana band Courting Ghosts.
